i'll keep an eye out for a mention of it in the english dept. newsletter.
that's a smart idea. i just checked with our old friend english.usu.edu, and they say it's thursday, october 29th.
From the newsletter (what a coincidence it came today!):
POE IN THE DARK
Poe in the Dark is our annual event where we involve faculty and share from the darker side of literature. This year the event will take place on Thursday, October 29th at 7:30, the doors opening at 7:00. It is a Passport experience, and we will be collecting food donations for the Utah food bank. We will be handing out raffle tickets to everyone who donates a can of food, so there will be prizes involved. Our faculty presenters this year will include from across the campus, Dr. Evelyn Funda from the English Department, Dr. Leonard N. Rosenband of the history department, and Professor Barbara Cangelosi of the Education department.
That would be fantastic! But I have to work on Friday and Thursday so I won't be able to make it up there. :(
Yeah, I know it was convenient while we were at school, but now that we're alumni, they really need to schedule stuff on weekends!
I won't be able to attend, since the next day is our Halloween potluck and I can't be "the chip guy"
