Breaking News

So, big news! We found out which branch the Army assigned to J today: Quartermaster! It's pretty exciting. It was his third choice, but one of his favorite still. He will go off to training on February 10th, then we will move the first of April to Fort Lee, Virginia. Yay!! I'm so excited. I'm going to live in Virginia!! I can't wait. But, we will only live there three months, then we'll move somewhere else. I'm pretty thrilled.

Holly, I'm sorry your brother made a silly choice in a wife. However, if you want to see him after they're married, I encourage you to encourage your family to treat her like gold-- and say nothing to anyone about her. Otherwise it'll just make things worse-- and it'll add negativity and tension to their marriage. Believe me, I would know. I have first- and second-hand knowledge of inlaw difficulties and the troubles they cause in a marriage. My parents marriage was deeply affected by my father's family's poor treatment of my mother (this went both ways, yes, one side stopping their bickering would've made a huge difference). I've also had problems with my inlaws. So, grin and bear it and be glad you aren't married to her and that you don't have to live with her, eh? That's the most important part.
